AIA Launches “Best of the Best,” Bringing the World’s Top All Star Athletes to the AIA Global Tournament
Edmonton, Canada - The Association of International All Star (AIA) has officially launched AIA’s Best of the Best, an invitation extended to the world’s highest-performing All Star teams whose competitive standing has earned them the opportunity to compete at the AIA Global Tournament, taking place July 15-20, 2026 in Montréal, Canada, and the next tournament scheduled for January 2028.
AIA’s Best of the Best is a distinction earned by teams or programs whose performances and or history has demonstrated excellence, and competitive credibility. Identified through AIA’s international membership of event producers, and committees, these programs represent the highest standard of All Star Cheer and Dance worldwide.

Programs recognized as AIA’s Best of the Best will receive formal invitations to compete in the AIA Global Tournament. The Global Tournament is an event intentionally designed to move beyond traditional competition formats and toward a true international tournament structure for the discipline of All Star Cheer and Dance.
The AIA Global Tournament is built on multiple rounds, meaningful advancement, and sustained performance over time. Hosted in a new country each cycle, it has been built as true reflection of the global reality of the sport and assembles an international field not dominated by any single nation.
“These teams and programs earned it,” said Jibreel Rayam, President & Tournament Director of the AIA.
“Our goal is to build the most competitive tournament possible, and that requires the best teams in the world to be present. Calendar differences, seasonal structures, and borders will not limit our efforts. This is a sport without borders, and it’s time to make that clear,
Like other global sports tournaments, direct invitations are part of achieving a true world-class competitive field.”
The AIA has begun formally inviting selected teams and programs recognized as AIA’s Best of the Best, to Montréal 2026.
